R&D/Engineering
We pursue component design or redesign as well as tooling and jig design, using CATIA V5.
Our R&D staff considers the most suitable production technique for the given product request right from the start depending on quantity, cost and technical constrains. We have an open mind for developing novel production technologies for a specific product if this is most suitable.
Where necessary, we collaborate with specialist composites engineering companies to pursue static and dynamic stress-FEA analysis and resin flow simulations for RTM techniques.
c2i hosted the “Technology-RTM” e-learning course for training of RTM technology by leading experts from the US, Germany, UK, Denmark and Czech Rep. Participants included automotive and aerospace OEMs and Tier1.
We are working on developing technology for high-volume, mass-market, low-cost carbon-fibre components using RTM. The key to this is the transition from manual to automated lay-up processes.
